Dr. Digits falls in love, again.
Striving for steady bliss
Meet Anastasia Dorohova, a multi-talented polyglot that rates a 12 on any 10 scale.
Anastasia: "I was born in Latvia, grew up in Israel, traveled to Tokyo, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, and a few other places, working as a model. I'm currently based in New York."
DrD: Your resume is nothing short of stunning. You've done commercials for Heineken, Verizon, Clairol, Maxim, been in Glamour, Maxim, Modern Bride and more. Worked for The Limited, CAS Sports, Lady Foot Locker, appeared on CBS and MTV, and been in films. And that only scratches the surface. I notice you also teach Yoga.
Anastasia: "I'm a Jivamukti-certified yoga instructor, working at a studio in New York. We teach private clients, and small group classes. I've been at it for twelve years, and have been fortunate to study with great masters."
DrD: Lets get back to modeling for a minute, so I can get more shots of you on the site. How did you get into it?
Anastasia: "I won the Supermodel of Israel title. Then modeled for Prada and Albert Feretti. I did big campaigns and magazines. I have also modeled for artists, posed nude, worked for free, gogo danced, lost my head, went to NYU, graduated and chose to pursue my many passions, instead of getting a job. I've never been happier than I am now."
Anastasia: "I model only for projects that I believe in. I write articles, study French (I'm fluent in Russian, English, and Hebrew.) and I'm working on a novel.
DrD: Will you marry me?
Anastasia: "Sorry, but I'm already in love, and if I'm not, I can make myself believe that I am, because love inspires."
DrD: I find you very inspiring!
Anastasia: "Yes, but you're a dirty old man. I sacrifice a lot for inspiration, because this is what makes me progress as an artist."
DrD: Ok, hoist on my own petard. You're also an artist?
Anastasia: "I paint in deep blue and purple colors, I listen to Sade and heavy metal, I surround myself by those who love me for who I am.
DrD: It must be crowded.
Anastasia: "Meditation is conscious relaxation, a way to observe your mind, as opposed to succumbing to its constant fluctuations. The mind is always working, thinking about today's lunch, yesterday's argument at work, bills to pay and phone calls to make. The key to meditating is to not be carried away by those thoughts, and watching them come and watching them go instead."
DrD: You're right, I find myself succumbing to constant fluctuations.
Anastasia: "Regular meditation helps to develop a sharper and more single-pointed focus. It's been proven to make its practitioners calmer."
DrD: I'm trying to calm myself.
Anastasia: "Draw your attention to the third eye center, the point between your eyebrows. Mentally repeat "OM." Chant "OM."
DrD: I'm trying, but it keeps coming out "YUM."
DrD: Anastasia, thank you. Fans and Professionals can visit Anastasia's web site http://www.anastasialand.com/ or seek their center here: http://www.steadybliss.com/
I'm afraid I need to lie down for a while.
